Today I started training for the Sprint. I have been trying to figure out how to break it down to work up to the 5k. I found out there is a site that is couch potato to 5k. Also there is a program on podrunner to work up to it with free music. I still have not downloaded that yet but I will!
Today I did abs from P90X for about 20 minutes and then I did 20 minutes of walking/running intervals. I did 60 seconds walking and 30 seconds running. It was good. I am hurting in places that I had totally forgotten about!!
Also today I found out a gal that is on the same health products as me, has gone from a size 28 to a size 16 since November. I wanted to have some popcorn in the WORSE way tonight and I looked at her before and afters for the first time and I thought to myself "I want that more!"
I cannot express how wonderful I feel to take care of my body.I am excited to see someone who started about as heavy as me have so much success. Its inspiring! Makes me want to work THAT much harder.
My workout with P90X was really discouranging for me today. I could NOT do the moves and had to make up my own stuff- really hard to get 300 pounds held up on one arm and one foot. Not happening. BUT my Run was amazing. I felt good. I still feel good.
Excited for what the week holds. I am breaking out the bike and going to start working on that ten mile venture! Baby steps!
