Workout


Yesterday I set out to explore some work out options. I had a set of P90X DVD's that a friend gave me and decided that I would give it a shot. I remember my friend Kim did it and had amazing results BUT was in far better shape before she started than I was. My goal is to shed as much weight as possible in the first 60-90 days of doing this so that I can start training for my sprint triathlon this summer. This will only be possible if I focus on one day at a time. I have to do the best I can each day. It is impossible to run in the condition I am in. At this point I hurt all the time. My hips hurt when I sleep and my back is really touchy too. I have to build my muscles and get the extra off so I can attack this thing.


Back to the workout. First day I did the upper body workout. I had to modify a bit because I do not have a pull up bar yet but WOWSERS that was a difficult workout. I made it through 25 minutes and I could feel it. Today I am feeling it and it FEELS GOOD and bad. What is amazing is when you work out to your exhaustion point.You know you gave it all and you know you pushed harder than you thought you could. That is success.


I am taking Sunday off each week to relax. I am happy with the first five days of my new life, good things are happening!


Monday is a new work out for me. In addition I will be doing my 50 minutes of walking during my breaks at work. I am excited to see some changes in my clothes over the next couple weeks!
